About Black Obsidian

Obsidian is not technically a mineral. It is natural volcanic glass, formed when lava cools too fast to crystallize, which is why the surface is so smooth and the black is so complete. Associated with the root chakra, it is traditionally the stone of protection and grounding, kept close by people learning to hold a line. Long before anyone wore it on a wrist, it was cut into blades and polished into the first mirrors.

Care Guidelines

Obsidian is natural glass, softer than quartz, so it holds a beautiful polish but dislikes hard knocks. Take it off for workouts and manual work, and keep it away from other jewelry in the box. Wipe with a soft dry cloth, and it is traditionally cleansed under running water. It does not need the sun. The charm is water resistant, but remove the bracelet before swimming or showering to protect the crystal and cord.

03.   Where exactly do I tap?

On iPhone, hold the charm near the top back of your phone. On Android, near the center back. A gentle touch is all it takes, and you do not need to press or hold.

04.   Is there a subscription?

Your bracelet includes 1 month of Orbii membership. After that it is $3.99 a month or $29 a year, which covers daily readings, tarot, and unlimited conversations. The bracelet itself is yours either way.

05.   Which crystal should I choose?

06.   How should I care for it?
